General Ultrasound

An ultrasound (or sonogram) uses sound waves to produce images of the area being examined. The instrument known as a transducer emits high-frequency sounds that bounce off soft tissues and organs, recording the size/shape/consistency of those being observed. Ultrasounds are used to diagnose a wide variety of medical conditions. They are safe, painless and noninvasive for patients.
